Individual, Family and Marital Counseling

“Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and prejudices and the acceptance of love back in our hearts. Love is the essential reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life. Meaning does not lie in things. Meaning lies in us.”

Individual Therapy:
I firmly believe that all of us are unique and the structure of therapy should be tailored to fit the person rather than trying to fit the person into a modality of therapy.  During our first session, we will look at history as well as you, the person-in-situation.  We will obtain a good beginning understanding of where you currently are and where you wish to grow.  Based upon this initial assessment, we will take a look at treatment modalities that will work best for you.

Family Therapy:
Family therapy can strengthen communication and be an excellent way to modify old, ineffective patterns and build new pathways to understanding.  I utilize a systems approach and have years of experience with Structural Family Therapy.  In addition, I often incorporate sand tray work into family sessions.  This can be a playful, non-stressful but meaningful way to reveal and discuss the deepest of thoughts and feelings.
